Songs chosen due to title, content or sheer bloody awesomeness. Further suggestions more than welcome, unless you suggest that I may like to get on with some proper work. If you're on Spotify then they're all here: http://spoti.fi/PseB0d.

Great idea, and one that I've thought about myself for quite some time. I know I have a bunch of recommendations somewhere in my mind, but at the moment here's a couple that come to mind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPtM3GeVKr4
text: As steals the morn upon the night,
And melts the shades away:
So Truth does Fancy's charm dissolve,
And rising Reason puts to flight
The fumes that did the mind involve,
Restoring intellectual day.
It seems to me to be a clear reference to the enlightenment.
Best.
